Support uterine lining with Femoral Massage

A way to support improving thin uterine lining is through femoral massage, which increases blood flow to the pelvic organs, providing more nourishment to the uterus and ovaries.

Femoral massage is done in the follicular phase, in-between menstruation and ovulation. The follicular phase is when oestrogen is building, which causes your uterine lining to develop and replenish. It’s also when egg maturation and cervical mucus are all established.

The femoral artery is located level with your pubic bone, just beneath the crease in your groin between your thigh and lower abdomen. To find the femoral artery feel the two tendons which should lie near the side seam of your underpants. The femoral artery sits in-between these two tendons level with your pubic bone.

To perform femoral massage:

1) make sure you are lying down.
2) find your femoral artery (in-between the two tendons on the inside of your thigh levels with your pubic bone)
3) press into the femoral artery until you feel the pulse stop. You will feel a slight ‘cooling’ in your leg as the blood in the femoral artery is restricted. This means the blood is flushing back into the pelvis and around the ovary and pelvic organs.
4) after 30 seconds release the pressure. You may feel warmth travel down your leg. If it feels a bit like doing a wee then you have done this correctly!
5) repeat on the other side.
